This is a diorama of a hole in the ground I first dug at the MN house to see how the ground water levels fluctuated throughout the seasons.  I put a stake in the bottom of it to mark water levels on.  It started growing mosses and roots and was such a beautiful ecosystem after a few years that I wanted to make a model of it.
